Cafe Barbette Salmonella Outbreak Litigation

Minnesota health authorities began an investigation of Café Barbette after being contacted by multiple people who ate at the restaurant on June 6th and 7th and had become ill with Salmonella illnesses.

An investigation by the Hennepin County Health Department revealed that chilled carrot soup served at Café Barbette was the source of the Salmonella outbreak. Among other things, the health officials determined that at least 29 people had fallen ill after eating at Café Barbette. Many outbreak victims required emergency medical attention, and at least one was hospitalized as a result of illness.

Marler Clark’s lawyers pursued Salmonella claims on behalf of individuals who became ill with Salmonella infections after eating at Café Barbette.
